Bleach 160 is touching. I wouldn’t say it is absolutely touching, but it almost bring tears to my eyes. I like the fight between Rukia and the ninth Espada, Aaroniero, in the manga and the anime has maintained that illusion. Notice that I said illusion? There are some parts which I do not necessarily agree with and the flashbacks probably drag it a little, but overall, I like that episode. The philosophy, the atmosphere and the voice acting. Episode 160 is another must watch episode in Bleach.
Unlike Naruto. Somehow, I’m starting to get annoyed. There are always problems with “epic” series. Somehow, the author will always feel that the next scene should always be more grand than the previous. Just look at Harry Potter. It started out simple but somehow, after the third book, it started to go downhill. In Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, we dismissed the death of Cedric Diggory as necessary. After all, our attention was on Voldemort. We waved a teary goodbye to tear-jerking death of Sirius Black in Harry Potter and The Order of Phoenix. I was still able to bear with the solemn farewell as we marched out the death of Dumbledore in Harry Potter and The Half-blood Prince. But by the time I reached the so-called “big battle scene” in Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, I was like “Bloody hell, let’s get this over and done with. Who is gonna die this time?” For some reason, one book must be more grand than the previous and the way to achieve this - in the author’s mind - is to massacre as many people the fans loved as possible.
The same theory can be applied on Naruto: a) dismissed the death of Sandaime Hokage as necessary, b) waved a teary goodbye to Asuma, c) marched out the death of Jiraiya - who should not die as he was supposed to be around to provide comical relief, for god’s sake, he is like the Urahara in Bleach! - and now, we are facing death the either Sasuke or Itachi. And not to mention, the rife exodus of other potentially popular characters in between to the Angel of Death known as “The Pen of Author Who Was Not Thinking At The Moment”.
I was appalled. Sometimes, it is actually better to just stick to stand-alone books or short series. Let’s face it: Repeated character deaths actually pissed fans off.

This was supposed to be posted on 26th Jan (Sat), but I got held up by something so it was only until today that I managed to get it up. Actually, I was busy downloading and watching animes and looking through the pictures to decide what to post. You wouldn’t believe at the amount of pictures I took.
Anyway, this is the event that Claudia and I went to. Pretty fun and not only that, we get to see some of the coolest cosplayers.

Well, we were there early so we went around the booths to check out some of the mechandise they sell. You would believe that they actually got the Naruto’s Konoha accessories. Check them out!

And the “Icha Icha Paradise” written by The Ultra-Perverted Jiraya, The Toad Sennin! And read by Konoha’s Copy Ninja, Sharingan Kakashi!

The infamous “Death of Aizen Taicho” from Bleach. Too bad there is no blood, although I was wondering how to stick the “sword” in the middle of the body.

And here are some cosplayers gamed for posing for nosy photographers like me. You have to admire their endurance though.

You wouldn’t believe the speed at which she is moving. Do you know how many tries I made in order to take that photograph? Claudia laughed at those pathetic attempts I made to take her picture.

Hmm…The anime version of “Romeo and Juliet”? Anyone knows the anime they are from?

The famous local cosplayer, Jesuke, a judge at the competition, posing for the cameras. Do you have any idea how many flashes were going off per secondat that time?

It was these cosplayers as well as the skit they were doing that I wanted to watch Trinity Blood

Oh my god! Kakashi from Naruto! The ultimate cosplayer!

And the Uchiha brothers too! The performance is a little…violent though

The classic pose of Shinigami from Death Note! You wouldn’t believe the span of his wings. He practically killed some of the characters from other animes. To borrow the emcee’s words, “That’s why shinigamis shunpo instead of flying”…

And the shinigami’s first meeting with the neko…

He isn’t the contestant, although he did dress up as Kon from Bleach. But he is too cute!

NEL TU! THE REASON WHY THIS POST IS SO LATE!!! ARGH!!!

Well? Do they look equally cute? I do think so.

Well, I simply couldn’t resist taking a picture with her. Kon caught my eyes first, but it was eventually Nel Tu that won me over. Cuteness level, on super high!
I was simply glad that Claudia asked me along for this cosplay. I really enjoyed myself at that event. Anyway, hope you guys enjoy as much as I do!

Nel say sowwy! Why bully Nel! Waaaaaaaaah…

Whew, after two weeks of waiting, Bleach manga and anime is finally out! I can’t wait to see what happens next in the manga. Although the Hueco Mundo (or is it Orihime Retrieval?) arc is starting drag a little. And I wonder if the anime is recovering it’s usual flair of comedy cum wackiness. It was exactly that humour in dangerous situations that cracks me up. Claudia and I had a short sms exchange on this. Including Naruto: Shippuuden.
Anyway, watching Full Metal Alchemist right now. It’s a little late, but I’m always a late developer. I just finished DN Angel (you guys have no idea how long I had to search for it) and manage to convince my sister to watch it. Still have lotsa animes waiting for my on my computer, but I guess my assignments come first.
Just dropping by to update the status a bit, in case you guys are wondering where on earth I disappeared to. Until then, see ya around!

If life is like building works
Who’s the master
And most importantly
Where is the blueprint?
English Version:
I think I got hooked on many things. Naruto Arena is one of them. Not that I’m complaining, but this role-playing website Zhi Xiang introduce is really wicked cool. I actually get to mix some of my favorite characters into one team and start fighting with the new combination. And I think I finally found my dream team. They are namely Naruto, Neji, and Temari.
Sounds very unlikely huh? But the thing is that, Naruto is able to reduce damages by 50% and when doing Rasengan, able to attack opponents AND stun them for two turns as well. As for Neji, he’s able to defend and attack opponents using Kaiten. And the unique Sixty Four strikes is the clincher. It totally seals opponents. And Temari, well, she’s pretty self explanatory. Unless you don’t watch Naruto, that is.
So, besides Naruto, I’m also hooked onto another anime. Forgot the name of the anime but one of my colleagues at SingTel has kindly lent me, saying that it’s a pretty good show. And I trust his word on it. Besides, I like watching animes and drama series, and I cannot, for my whole life, figure out people who don’t like it. I think it’s one of those few windows where we can draw parallels and sometimes, even inspirations. If anything else, it also served as a good source of relaxation.
Just a side note, my hair is getting longer now but I can’t decide what hairstyle to go with…Anyone has any ideas?

English Version:
Finally, after one of the longest fillers in anime history, we finally go back to the real Naruto deal. Just the starting alone is enough to satisfy all those time spent on waiting faithfully for the new series of anime to come out. For those who didn’t read the manga, you might be a little lost. For those did read the manga, you will still be lost. Probably because you are wondering why they are starting from the middle of the manga instead of the beginning, leaving you no foggiest idea whether you missed a few episodes or whatsoever.
The starting is somewhat placid and blasé, but it does show much promise, compare to the crap that is known as fillers. Some of you guys might have actually enjoy that blasphemy but personally, I’m glad the anime is getting back its usual flair, be it in terms of music, humor, new characters or more sinister plot lines. Even the starting and ending songs are better than before. Or maybe it’s just my imagination. Or excitement.
Anyway, I’m sure this is one of the best Chinese New Year gift (or angbao) a Naruto fan would get. Oh, speaking of Chinese New Year, to all the Chinese out there, overseas or local, join in the fun of the festive season, reunite with your family, be safe and sound! HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

| Quote from TitansGo.Net |
|
TitansGo.net was informed last night by a production crew member that Season 6 of Teen Titans is officially cancelled.
There are still no given reasons for the decision, so we still insist that fans continue to mail their thoughts to Cartoon Network, support the show by buying its merchandise, and show their love of Teen Titans in any way else they can. Nothing is ever 100% certain, and you can’t keep a good thing down for long.
Once again, Cartoon Network’s address to send your letters to is:
Cartoon Network
1050 Techwood Drive
Atlanta, GA 30318
Let’s keep it up! |
Oh my god! I don’t believe it! They really did it! I can’t believe it actually happened! I was informed of this by DeQ but I didn’t really believe they would really do it! Oh my god! How am I going to live on without Teen Titans?

Got side-tracked by something else, but I’ll get some substantial reading done when I’m in camp. Heard there are lots of free time. Hopefully, they don’t cancel it…They have the nasty habit of changing schedules at the last possible moments.

Things are going pretty smoothly. I still have a few wrinkles to iron out, but I expect it to be done in two or three weeks’ time. If things continues to goes on smoothly, of course.

Shirl: Thanks. But my heart really isn’t in muttering, though, because I was thinking about “White Houses” while doing it.
